TEAM CULTURE ASSESSMENTS (TCAs)

To understand what is really going on within a team, there needs to be a genuine concern to what is happening for the individuals working in and managing that team. Our Team Culture Assessments (TCAs) assess the wellbeing of each individual through tailored structured 1:1 interviews enabling a breadth of information to be captured in three domains:

  • Individual coping
  • The team environment
  • Leadership and systemic concerns

The 1:1 interviews enable concerns for individuals to be identified and confidentially discussed identifying immediate actions for that person to take responsibility for and improve their own wellbeing.  This confidentiality means we will not identify any individual and the individual’s wellbeing within the context of the team environment is the primary focus. The non-blaming and non-investigative approach creates confidence and freedom for the individual to provide honest and forthright feedback.

This cumulative information has a richness to enable a comprehensive analysis of  themes and issues within a given team. The non-identifying  information is then used to make broader recommendations to management / project sponsor on how to address any issues impacting on team culture at the macro level.

CONFLICT COACHING 

Understanding our own communication styles and behaviours as well as those of others can enable prevention of conflict and/or deescalation. Conflict coaching increases this insights and provides concrete assistance to deal with difficult situations. Conflict coaching is appropriate for all levels of staff including participants involved in disputes.

Conflict coaching for managers is a most effective way to build capacity within organisations and avoid disputes escalating at the earliest point.  In business many disputes escalate where they might quickly have been deescalated by prudent management in the first instance. Individual conflict coaching for managers is a proven effective way to build this capacity in both established and emerging leaders.
